My name is Mike Shaw.  I moved to Oro Valley, Arizona (NW Tucson) in 2005 from West Texas.  Besides having the best sunsets I have ever seen, I was surprised by the wildlife here.  I immediately put out a hummingbird feeder and I wasn’t disappointed.  I have had consistent, and sometimes constant, traffic ever since.

I was surprised again.  Hummingbirds weren’t the only birds to visit the feeder.  I’ve seen Woodpeckers, Cactus Wren, Hooded Oriole, Finches and more.  I’ve taken a few pictures over the years.  Lately I’ve started video taping the happenings at the Hummingbird Feeder.  I started this blog site to share the joy with you and to ask you to get involved too.
